Initially commissioned to undertake a feasibility study Jenkins Design Services progressed the project to secure full planning approval for seven self contained industrial units. An assessment based on the use of space within existing accommodation established the required unit size and area for the proposed scheme.  The approach was a phased development in order to minimize disruption and allow UK Electronics to maintain their operations while the initial three units were constructed. Once migrated demolition could commence on their outdated redundant building prior to the three remaining units being constructed. All seven units were two storey's with first floor mezzanine accommodation.  The modular design allowed full flexibility and future proofed the development.  The scheme maximized a poorly operated brown field site and was commended by the Planning Case Officer from Oldham Planning department for its aesthetic and potential economic benefit within the region.
