Jenkins Design Services were commissioned to produce a feasibility study on the possible expansion of the Halliwell Jones Stadium in 2011. The project quickly developed into a viable development, and the proposal incorporated the formation of seating and terracing quadrants to the North and South East corners. A full scope of service was undertaken, climaxing with project completion ahead of the 2012 season of Superleague. The project showcases a complex and demanding skillset. Throughout the project, JDS worked closely with the club, the local authority, and the local Safety Advisory Group. The combination of seating and terracing installations called for compliance with strenuous regulations, ensuring safe access and egress for supporters. Specialist design guidance such as 'The Green Guide' were utilised during the project, as additional regulatory measures to that of a standard construction project.
